The annual LEGO Star Wars May 4th promotions have started today and will last until May 7th.
Here is all thats on offer:
I like the poster because it completes the collection of posters from episodes I - VI, available last year, but the 'exclusive' Stormtrooper minifigure is a disappointment of a free gift compared to previous years but still worth picking up if there are any Star Wars sets you are after.

Brick 2015 took place a couple of weeks ago from 11th - 13th December and I had been looking forward to visiting straight after Brick 2014 had finished. I bought my tickets for Saturday 12th December and when it was announced premium tickets were being released weeks before the event, I knew I had to upgrade. Upgrading to a premium ticket enabled me to get into the show one hour early, a goody bag and a lanyard.
I got to the ExCeL just before 9am and once I had been given my wristband and lanyard it was 9am and we were allowed to enter the show. It was well worth upgrading my ticket because the one hour early entry was great. It was really nice being able to walk around the shops with not many other people around because later on in the day the shops become really busy and made it harder to browse the shops.
I did buy a lot of LEGO because there was so much of it for sale! Some things I got included; exclusive Fairy Bricks set from Minifigforlife, signed copies of Bricks magazine from the Bricks stand and series 4 Hazmat man minifigure which I have been wanting for a while. DK Books were also running a great promotion. I bought a LEGO Star Wars book from DK and got a free Luke Skywalker minifigure, Star Wars t-shirt and a Star Wars bag.
The fan zone was full of fantastic models. My favourite models I saw throughout the day were; the Star Wars mosaic, purple FlyBe aeroplane by Bright Bricks and the architecture Style Big Ben, which I thought was really impressive due to its size. (photos below)
The Brick live stage did not have anything with interested me but I watched the 'best toys for Christmas' show by Toys R Us. In my opinion, the live stage had better shows on offer last year. LEGO made an appearance at the show and were giving away a free Club minifigure polybag and Christmas tree polybag to everyone who attended.
A goody bag came with the premium ticket and the pick up time was between 11am and 1pm. I went at 11am to pick up my goody bag and it came with some great goodies. The bag itself had a LEGO Dimensions design on one side and Brick 2015 logo design on the other. Inside there were three LEGO polybags, (Friends Pop Star Red Carpet, Creator Tiger and Star Wars AT-DP) and also some LEGO Dimensions stickers in there too.
I am going to end my report here or else it would take me hours to write about all the amazing activities on offer at Brick. It was a great day out and I spent most of the day there and I would of happily gone back in on the Sunday.
I would recommend going next year as it is a great day out for all ages but I would recommend taking some money becuase there is a lot of LEGO you can buy! You can see the rest of my photos below and a YouTube video I put together of the 'best bits'.
2016 set images are trickling in quickly now and an Italian shop website has uploaded a PDF with set images from various themes like Duplo, City and Friends. Unfortunately, some themes like Star Wars The Force Awakens have got placeholder images because they cannot yet be revealed.
One of my favourite sets is the New York City skyline from the Architecture range.I really like how it has all the most recognised landmarks in New York next to each other. I can't wait for that one to be released!
Brickset has received scans of the first wave of Star Wars sets due for release in January 2016. The sets are:
Two new Star Wars The Force Awakens polybags and six new battle figures have been discovered.
The image of the battle figures (left picture) has been taken from the November/December Club magazine and the featured characters to be released January next year are:
The picture on the right is of two new polybags which have been discovered and posted on Brickset. These are:
Two Star Wars: The Force Awakens polybags have recently been discovered. The first one is C-3PO with unique side printing on his legs and a red arm. The mystery of the red arm will probably make sense when the movie is released. This polybag was given away at Toys R Us stores in Germany during midnight openings on Force Friday and is also currently available at LEGOLAND Florida and Malaysia with qualifying purchases. C-3PO will be available in the UK sometime around November or December at the end of this year.
The Brick Fan has revealed the second polybag, First Order Special Forces Tie Fighter. This is a brick built set and there is no word of where it has come from, availability or price.
Happy Force Friday!
The much anticipated Force Friday is now upon us where Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise can now be purchased! This includes 7 brand new LEGO sets which were revealed yesterday.
In the UK, purchases over £50 on LEGO Star Wars product will get you a free Admiral Yularen polybag and don't forget you can still receive a free Kai Drifter with purchases over £25 and a free Star Wars Episode 1 poster with any LEGO Star Wars purchase.
I am going to Toys R Us then to the LEGO Store this morning and hopefully all the products will not have already sold out.

The next LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens set which has been revealed is 75105 Millennium Falcon and it has been revealed on Good Morning America in Times Square, New York. It is the largest of the seven new sets containing 1332 pieces and 6 minifigures. It is also the most expensive priced at £129.99.
The third set to be revealed today is 75104 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle and has been revealed from Berlin in Germany. It will be priced at £99.99 and contains 1004 pieces along with 6 minifigures.
The set designer, Niels Fredriksen, was at the reveal. When interviewed earlier he mentioned that only a few members of staff were permitted to see the source material for the sets when they visited Pinewood Studios in Spring of 2014 and that they were not allowed to take photos of what they saw. Instead, some of the graphic designers returned to Denmark with sketches on which the initial set designs were based.
The next LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens set to be revealed has come from Cape Town in South Africa and it is 75103 First Order Transporter.
The set will be priced at £79.99 and comes with 792 pieces along with 7 minifigures. I would expect that most, if not all, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens sets will be revealed today.
The first LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens set has been revealed this morning and it is 75102 Poe's X-Wing Fighter. The set will be priced at £69.99 and contains 717 pieces along with 4 minifigures.
Today is the global merchandise event for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has begun today and this reveal came from South Korea so expect more LEGO reveals throughout the day. You can watch the unboxing event live on the Star Wars YouTube channel.
Battle the forces of the First Order with Poe’s X-Wing Fighter. This customized starfighter is packed with features, like the 4 spring-loaded shooters, 2 stud shooters, retractable landing gear, opening wings, opening cockpit with space for a minifigure and space behind for the BB-8 Astromech Droid. There’s even a loader with tool rack, extra ammunition, and a seat for a minifigure. So climb the access ladder, strap in and get ready to recreate your own great scenes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Includes 3 minifigures with assorted accessories: Poe Dameron, Resistance ground crew and a Resistance X-Wing Pilot, plus a BB-8 Astromech Droid.
Hoth Bricks is reporting that LEGO will be giving out a free polybag during Force Friday which is only a couple of days away. However, this polybag is not a brand new Star Wars: The Force Awakens polybag but only Admiral Yularen which was previously given out during May 4th weekend. This offer will be available between 4th September - 5th September with LEGO Star Wars purchases over 50 EUR which should be around £50 if this offer comes to the UK.
This can be very disappointing for fans who already have the Admiral Yularen polybag and it seems LEGO are no longer making an effort in their products much like the re-release of the Winter Village Toy Shop.
But, this article over on Promobricks is reporting that a First Order Snowtrooper polybag is rumoured to be given away during Force Friday. This could be at another retailer like Toys R Us though.
All we can do is wait and see what retailers are offering what in the coming days.
